I don't have so much of an issue with set up time and delivery costs, its the warranty issues and problems associated with set up failures which on many brands I know I am going to get called and get bitched at because they have some kind of problem setting it up. This is often when their are too many peices to put together. Some have confusing set ups that in the small print can say to attach this or that but not to make it too tight so their is some give. Its all confusing for a first timer trampoline buyer. When the frame weakens after a year and the trampoline is rattling every time someone bounces on it, they try to get it replaced and the warranty is voided cuz it wasn't put together right. I shouldn't have to pay someone to set it up for me. Why should I have to pay a set up fee when if I don't the warranty would be voided as they would probably always find something wrong the way I set it up.

From now on I am avoiding the high piece count frames as these seem to be the ones that give me the most grief and customer complaints. People get mad at me when I try to recommend the more expensive ones BECAUSE I KNOW ITS BEST FOR THEM and they still buy the cheapest one when it comes time to buy. Honestly, if the users are too heavy and they want a lightweight trampoline that is not right for them, I don't need the headache after the sale and prefer not to sell them a trampoline. Its so funny when a person buys a 400 dollar trampoline and calls me and complains about everything. Remember, almost all trampolines, even the thin gauge cheap spring models are good before they stretch out. This is why people get on a 400 dollar trampoline and in a few months they wonder why the bounce is different and they are told to spend more money on new springs. The cheaper ones usually cost people a lot of money over the time period, just not at first.

Teh more set up time usually the more pieces to put together. Ask how long it takes to put the model you want together. If they say longer then it probbly has more pieces. This can affect flex of the frame also. Find out the weight of the frame without the springs, the actual medal frame. If there are any medal fixtures added after the initial frame was welded, that doesn't count, thats just what I have learned.
